On Corfu Island’s northeast coastline that is also known as Kensington-on-Sea, set in the gated grounds of Petrochori Estate, a private foreland, surrounded by green in all its colour-chart graduations and with direct access to the Ionian Sea via three private beaches, Villa Domina is the perfect choice for a happy-go-lucky holiday.
Corfu Town is some 21kms from the villa and depending on traffic, it is usually no more than 30min drive where the Old Town is a must visit at all times of day or night. The favourable hours though are the ones of early evening to late at night when the sun has set and strolling around the kantounia is always a special experience and treat. Of course visiting Kanoni and Pontikonissi are also amongst the things to do for the first comers.
Corfu International Airport is 19kms away and less than 30min drive. Ioannis Kapodistrias airport is served by many scheduled and charter flights. British Airways, Aegean Air, Olympic Air, Air France, Air Berlin, Finnair, Austrian Airlines, Scandinavian Airlines, EasyJet, and Ryanair are just very few of those landing on the island.
Corfu Port is 16kms away and no more than 25min drive. The port of Corfu welcomes ships from Italy on a daily basis along with ferries that connect Corfu with mainland Greece. Furthermore, the port of Corfu is the point chosen by all cruise liners for their stopover in Corfu.
Heading north from the Villa following the coastline towards Kassiopi, you can enjoy breath-taking views, green hills, emerald seawaters and small villages spread here and there along the way… For the lovers of seafood a stop at Kerassia is recommended but making a reservation is recommended.
Heading west crossing the top part of the island you can reach Paleokastritsa… again a must for first time visitors, while heading south and passing by the outskirts of Corfu Town, you can reach Achilleion Palace, all themed by Achilles, built in 1888 by the Empress of Austria Elisabeth of Bavaria as her summer residence and now a museum.
